Dr. Christina Scelfo is a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon with a private practice in New York City.
After graduating Fordham University summa cum laude with a dual major in Biology and English Literature, Dr. Scelfo went on to obtain her MD with the honor of Alpha Omega Alpha as part of the inaugural class of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Following her intern year at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Boston Medical Center where she was recognized for her dedication to resident teaching and research and served as chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Prior to joining Pediatric Ophthalmic Consultants, Dr. Scelfo led Boston Children’s Ophthalmology office in Westchester, NY where she also taught medical students and residents as a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York Medical College. She has authored several papers related pediatric ophthalmology and has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. Dr. Scelfo routinely performs adjustable and non-adjustable sutures for her patients requiring strabismus surgery.
